Meet Our Animals

Meet the Animals

hen2.jpg

The righteous care for the needs of their animals.

Proverbs 12:10

It's just not a farm without a variety of animals.

In conjunction with events and activities at Miah's Place, Goat Head Farms offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with farm animals.

All of our animals are gentle and accustomed to having people around. While they may not always be in a mood to be petted or eat out of your hand, there's no worries that you or your family will be attacked or threatened by our animals.

Farm standards like hens, roosters, ducks, and geese roam the grounds, as well as turkeys, an emu named Larry, and peacock.

The goats are friendly and entertaining as well.

So make an appointment today to bring the kids out to visit the farm and feed the critters. (We provide the feed for a small cost.)

Geese

Our geese think we are part of their flock. Just kneel down on their level and talk to them. They are always eager for conversation.

Chickens

You can't have a farm without chickens...or so we've been told.

Friendly, and they lay delicious eggs, too! Most of our flock we hatched ourselves.

Petting the bees is not recommended, but usually they will leave you alone if you leave them alone. They provide a vital service keeping the farm growing. And their honey is amazing!
